Katie Price has shared a heartbreaking video of her ”shattered” son Harvey who has returned home after being rushed to hospital yesterday.
The former glamour model, 42, admitted that she ‘feared the absolute worst’ when her 18-year-old son was rushed to hospital after experiencing worrying symptoms after being struck down with a mystery bug.
Harvey, who suffers from Prader-Willi syndrome, needed “urgent medical attention” after he fell ill at his sister Princess’ 13th birthday bash.
Katie, 42, took no chances as she picked up the phone to dial 999 when she recognised her son needed urgent care.
The Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star was deeply concerned for her son who was unable to detail exactly how he was feeling at the time.
Taking to her YouTube channel this evening, Katie shared a health update as she explained the ordeal while her shattered son dozed off on the sofa alongside her.
A sleepy Harvey reassured concerned fans by insisting that he feels good now following the dash to hospital.
Lying down in a relaxed position alongside his beloved mum, the teen shared: “I feel good, and of course, I am so happy to be home.”
“I called an ambulance, because obviously, Harvey has got complex needs anyway,” Katie explained.
Katie detailed that Harvey was unable to articulate how he was feeling, but he continued to complain of chest pains throughout the day.
The teen told his mum that the pain was so bad, it felt as though there were needles being pushed into his chest.
Not wanting to take any risks due to the fact that her son is a high risk individual during the ongoing coronavirus, Katie took no chances in delaying calling the emergency services.
Thankfully, after doctors ran a number of tests, they found that there was nothing serious to worry about in Harvey’s case.
According to medics, Harvey could have possibly pulled a muscle in his sleep which brought about the uncomfortable pain.
Otherwise, the teen is experiencing the beginning of a nasty chest infection.
“We’re home, safe and sound. Now all I have to worry about is Princess and her new puppy,” Katie finished off the health update.
Harvey also suffers from other health complications including Septo-optic dysplasia.
This causes blindness and affects his growth.
The teenager is also autistic, has an under-active thyroid and diabetes.
Last year, Katie made the heartbreaking decision to send her son Harvey to live at a residential care home after she struggled to cope.
Harvey often comes home, mainly on weekends and in the school holidays.
During an emotional appearance on This Morning, Katie said: “He is now six foot two, 24 stone and he’s still growing and he kicks off.
“I love him so much, he’s my absolute life, but he’s just hard work now. “[It’s] only Monday to Friday. Every weekend and holidays I will have him.”
