A four-year-old girl has died and a woman is fighting for her life after police found them injured at a south London address.
The child and the 35-year-old were found wounded at a property in Mitcham this afternoon, the Met Police said.
At this stage police are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident, the Met said in a statement tonight.
Police said emergency services were called to a property on Monarch Parade in Mitcham at 4pm to a report of two people injured.

Officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics found a woman and a child inside the house suffering injuries.
The child was taken to hospital however was pronounced dead a short time later.
Next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course, police said.
No arrests made an enquiries continue, the Met added.
Officers remain in the area and a crime scene is in place tonight.
An air ambulance was flown to the scene on the major south London road this afternoon.
Monarch Parade on London Road, a major route through the capital’s south, was closed in both directions as emergency services responded to the incident earlier.
